Flag or Fishes?

Can you beat the greasy pole and grab the flag - or will you be making a splash with the fishes?

On Saturday 26 September, 200 competitors will take on the ultimate waterfront challenge at the Barbican & Sutton Harbour: sprint along a greased mast and grab the flag at the end.

The rules are simple. Grab the flag and progress to the next round. Miss it and you're out. Just one slip and you’re in the sea, saying hi to the fishes!

As the competition intensifies, only the fastest and most balanced competitors will make it through to the final, where one person will be crowned Plymouth Champion 2026.
