You SHALL go to the ball…

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a panto - and this year, Cinderella is bringing the festive sparkle to the Theatre Royal. ✨

👠 Pop icon and stage star Will Young takes on the glittering role of the Fairy Godfather, alongside breakfast TV favourite and Hollywood correspondent Ross King as Buttons.

They’re joined by Eve Shanu-Wilson as Cinderella, Michael O’Reilly as Prince Charming and Daniel Norford as Dandini.

Expect all the traditional panto ingredients: laughter, spectacular scenery, beautiful costumes, boos, hisses and plenty of festive silliness as Cinders goes from rags to riches, outwits her wicked stepsisters and hopefully gets her happy-ever-after.

And here’s a little Devon connection for you (if you didn’t already know)…

Before he became the original Pop Idol winner and a household name, Will Young studied Politics at the University of Exeter, graduating in 2001.

He returned to Exeter in 2024 to receive an honorary degree - so perhaps his journey from Devon student to Plymouth Fairy Godfather has a certain festive symmetry!
